This cocktail is a tribute to Winston Churchill, who in 1954 wrote his own menu on his last flight to the USA as Prime Minister which included, poached egg, toast, whisky, and a cigar. While we aren’t one to choose a cigar with our breakfast, smoked cinnamon, coffee, rye, and maple syrup would satisfy even Mr. Churchill. Perfectly balanced, this cocktail is a great addition to any brunch!
- .25 oz maple syrup
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- .5 oz espresso
- 1.5 oz rye whiskey
- Grate cinnamon in a glass and garnish with a smoldering cinnamon stick.
